Week Four

Cousins John A and Kristina Washer came to meet Talon. We had a fun evening with these two discussing pregnancy and babies. They are expecting thier first little girl in August!

Sister and brother playing together. Well, actually Sunny wanting to be on the Tummy Time mat because Talon is there. ;-)

An attempt to hold his hand.

Sunny is getting more daring to touch the different parts of Talon. Lately she's been focusing on showing us his eyes! Yikes! Yep, he's only been poked in the eyes twice though and he took it like a man. LOL ;-)

Getting ready to walk to church.

Going for another walk.

Mommy loves to kiss toes!

Mommy just loves toes period.

The many faces of Talon.

Week Three

It's official...Talon James Wright now exsists to the government! We got his SS card in the mail this week.

We think he has Rodney's body type and might be tall like Rodney. Look at those long legs and thin torso.

Awe, brother and sister feet.

Do we have the same thumbs?

Look how well he holds his head up for a 3 wk old!

A little nap with Talon.

This is one way Mommy takes a walk with her kiddos.

Mommy was sick this past week with a fever, body aches and sore throat. Thank goodness Grandma Carol was able to come over and help take care of Talon! Thank you so much G-ma!

Week Two

Aunt Dorrie and Cousin Airen came to visit for a few hours to meet Talon. I had already warned Talon that Aunt Dorrie might kiss him to death. ;-)

Airen wasn't sure what to do with this new creature. Sunny seems to really like him. ;-)

Sunny likes to always help with the baby. She will give him his pacifier, a blanket, read to him or kiss him. She also likes to help feed him. She's a sweet big sister.

'

Kalie meeting her new cousin Talon. Kalie is good with babies and kids. She has a 2 yr old brother herself.

Uncle Beia and Talon.

Nana changing Talon. I'm pretty sure Nana got peed on here by Talon. LOL. Talon has pretty much peed everywhere in his room! He's hit the wall, the chair, the crib, the floor...oh yea, and me!

Nana burping the baby.

All of us before going to church.

Check out the muscles on Talon! Now everyone should believe me when I talked about how hard Talon kicked me in the womb! He definately did his exercises in there!

Sweet baby. Talon is really a good baby. He only cries when he needs something and when he has terrible gas pain. ;-) His cry is louder tough than Sunny's cry when she was a baby.

My precious prince.

Week One

Talon and I came home from the hospital on May 10th, the day after Mother's Day. ;-)

We were very happy to have Nana stay with us for Talon's first week home. She was a big help and since Mommy was very emotional, it was nice to have Nana there to talk to all the time. Thanks for listening Mama!

Talon developed Jaundice while in the hospital. I didn't realize that Jaundice develops due to the different blood types between the mother and baby. Since I'm O negative and Talon is A positive, it causes Talon's blood to create too many red blood cells, which tints the skin yellow. It takes good eating and pooping to get the Talon's kidneys functioning properly to get rid of the Jaundice.

You can see in this pic how yellow his skin is. I even had one of the nurses ask me if his father was Mexican! LOL

We followed up with Talon's Dr. a few days after the hospital stay and his Jaundice was getting better! Whew. He said he would still have the yellow tint for a few weeks though.

I just love little baby toes!

And little baby hands!

Looks like Daddy already has a painting buddy.

PaPa Jim and Bebe (who now live in Tucson, AZ) visited for a few days.

Aunt Janette with new baby Talon.

I'm loving dressing Talon up in little boy outfits. hee hee
