First Day at Precious Gifts Daycare

Today was Talon's first day at daycare! Mommy was sad to drop him off, but knew he was in good hands with Mrs. Alisa. Her report was very good. She said he was a good baby and Sunny was very protective of him. When he would cry she would run over to Talon and cry for someone to help him. Isn't that so cute?

Happy 2 Month Birthday to Talon James!

Talon celebrated his 2 month birthday by taking naps, eating and pooping. LOL

He had his 2 month check up yesterday in which he was very still for the doctor.

Weight: 11 lbs 13.5 oz (50 percentile)

Height: 23.5" (75 percentile)

He sure didn't like his shots though. I've never seen his face turn that red before and he held his breath for the longest time before belting out the loudest cry I've ever heard from him! I felt so bad for him. Mama swooped in and comforted him as soon as she could and he cried for a few more minutes before falling fast asleep in my arms.

5 hours after the shots, Talon started screaming crying. His little leg was red and swollen. I freaked out and called the doctor. They said he was probably not having an allergic reaction and that he was probably just in pain from the tetnis shot. ;-(

I gave him another dose of tylenol and he finally went to sleep.

Happy 4th of July

Talon, Sunny, Daddy & Mommy went to Ft. Riley (Junction City, KS) to visit cousin Airen and Aunt Dorrie for the 4th of July. Talon was a good boy and spent most of the weekend watching his sister Sunny and Airen play. He can't wait to play with them too one day.

Meeting a New Friend and Sleeping Through the Night

Talon slept through the night Wednesday, June 23th and again last night! He slept from 10pm-5:30am! Of course I checked on him a couple times through the night making sure he was okay and was sleeping like a perfect little angel. ;-)










We went to lunch with Ruby on Thursday and she brought he and Sunny gifts! That's my sweet friend Ruby. ;-) She loved loving on him too!



Talon and I try to take a walk everyday. We have to go in the morning because it's SO hot outside! He likes to face outward now so he won't miss out on anything. lol

Big Smile

Talon is smiling more and more. He's also sleeping longer at night and going longer between feedings. Yea! He's been throwing up at least once a day, but since we switched formulas to a "gentle" version, he's only thrown up a few times in the past week.

Father's Day

Talon joined in the T-shirt fun with his sister and wore his favorite Daddy shirt for Father's Day. We spent the day by going to church and giving Daddy his cards after. Talon usually throws up on Daddy and today, he didn't. Happy Father's Day!

First Smile

Talon is having a pretty good week filled with sleeping, eating and pooping. However, he did manage to push out his first real smile. He really knows his Mama and will now turn his head towards me when he hears my voice. A couple of days ago, he turned to me and smiled!

Handsome Baby at the Wedding

Talon and the family went to cousin Sherry's Wedding this past weekend. Talon was a good boy and didn't make a peep during the ceremony unlike his sister.....who DID! She thought it would be funny to sing along during the ceremony!



Aunt Janette fed baby Talon during the ceremony for me while I kept an eye on Sunny and hand over her mouth. lol














Kalie was happy to have Talon for a dance partner. He never stepped on her toes, so she was pleased. lol

Talon's One Month Doctor Check Up

Talon had his 1 month check up on Tuesday, June 8th. He was a very good boy.

FUNNY STORY: At his 1 week check up, we layed him on the weight scale (he has to be naked) and he peed with a stream that went across the hall! He almost hit a patient walking by too! So, this time, he kept his pee to himself. LOL

Weight: 10lbs 7oz (30th percentile)

Height: 22 1/2 inches (58th percentile)

When Dr. Morrison was listening to his heart, Talon repeatedly would push away the stethascope with his little hands. lol. The doc did say he's a healthy boy and growing right on track.
